ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܚܒܪܟܘܢ ܘܣܗܕܐ ܕܚܫܘܗܝ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܫܘܬܦܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܗܘ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܕܢܬܓܠܐ
dnthgl' dethyd hw dshwbkhh wshwthp' dmshykh' dkhshwhy wshd' khbrkwn qshysh' 'n' bkwn d'yth qshysh' mn dyn 'n' be'
Therefore I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.

ܪܥܘ ܡܪܥܝܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܡܫܠܡܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܣܥܘܪܘ ܪܘܚܢܐܝܬ ܠܐ ܒܩܛܝܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܨܒܝܢܐ ܠܐ ܒܝܘܬܪܢܐ ܛܢܦܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܟܠܗ ܠܒܟܘܢ

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;

ܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܡܪܥܝܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ
shpyrth' dmwth' lhwn dthhwwn 'yk 'l' dmreyth' mry' 'yk l'
neither as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.

ܕܟܕ ܢܬܓܠܐ ܪܒ ܪܥܘܬܐ ܬܩܒܠܘܢ ܡܢܗ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܚܡܐ
khm' dl' dshwbkh' klyl' mnh thqblwn rewth' rb nthgl' dkd
When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.

ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠܝܡܐ ܐܫܬܥܒܕܘ ܠܩܫܝܫܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܬܥܛܦܘ ܚܝܨܐܝܬ ܡܟܝܟܘܬ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܠܘܬ ܚܕܕܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܣܩܘܒܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܬܪܝܡܝܢ ܘܠܡܟܝܟܐ ܝܗܒ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ
Tybwth' yhb wlmkyk' dmththrymyn d'ylyn hw sqwbl' d'lh' mTl khdd' lwth reyn' mkykwth khyts'yth w'theTpw lqshyshykwn 'shthebdw elym' w'nthwn
Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

ܐܬܡܟܟܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܚܝܬ ܐܝܕܗ ܬܩܝܦܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܗܝ ܬܪܝܡܟܘܢ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܙܕܩ
dzdq bzbn' thrymkwn dhy d'lh' thqypth' 'ydh thkhyth hkyl 'thmkkw
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;

ܘܨܦܬܟܘܢ ܟܠܗ ܫܕܘ ܥܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܠܗ ܒܛܝܠ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ
elykwn bTyl dlh 'lh' el shdw klh wtspthkwn
casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܘܥܗܕܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܥܠܕܒܒܟܘܢ ܣܛܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܝܐ ܢܗܡ ܘܡܗܠܟ ܘܒܥܐ ܕܠܡܢܘ ܢܒܠܥ
nble dlmnw wbe' wmhlk nhm 'ry' 'yk sTn' dbeldbbkwn mTl wehdw 'ththeyrw
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

ܩܘܡܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܠܩܘܒܠܗ ܟܕ ܡܫܪܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܕܥܘ ܕܐܦ ܥܠ ܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܕܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܚܫܐ ܥܪܨܝܢ
ertsyn khsh' hlyn hnwn dbelm' 'khykwn el d'p wdew bhymnwth' 'nthwn mshrryn kd lqwblh hkyl qwmw
Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܢ ܠܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܢ ܕܟܕ ܢܣܝܒܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܕܢܬܚܝܠ ܘܢܫܬܪܪ ܘܢܬܩܝܡ ܒܗ ܠܥܠܡ
lelm bh wnthqym wnshthrr dnthkhyl zewr' 'wltsn' hlyn nsybr dkd ln dyhb hw mshykh' yshwe byd dlelm lshwbkhh dqrn hw dTybwth' dyn 'lh'
But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

ܕܠܗ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܘܐܘܚܕܢܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ
'myn elmyn lelm w'yqr' w'wkhdn' shwbkh' dlh
To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

ܗܠܝܢ ܙܥܘܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܣܒܪ ܐܢܐ ܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܝܕ ܣܠܘܢܘܣ ܐܚܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܡܦܣ ܐܢܐ ܘܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܕܗܕܐ ܗܝ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܫܪܝܪܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗ
bh 'nthwn dqymyn hd' d'lh' shryrth' Tybwth' hy dhd' 'n' wshd 'n' wmps mhymn' 'kh' slwnws byd lkwn kthbth 'n' dsbr 'yk zewryth' hlyn
Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.

ܫܐܠܐ ܫܠܡܟܘܢ ܥܕܬܐ ܓܒܝܬܐ ܕܒܒܒܠ ܘܡܪܩܘܣ ܒܪܝ

She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son.
